Roman Kalentiev assessed the state of winter crops in Kamensky and Belinsky districts of the Penza region as part of a working visit

On March 15, 2022, as part of a visit to the Kamensky and Belinsky districts of the Penza Region, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of the Penza Region Roman Kalentiev visited the farms of Petr Andreevich Stepanyuk TNV “im. Dimitrov" p. Studenka and the peasant farm of Sergei Viktorovich Rusakov in the village. Pushanino in the Belinsky district.
As part of the trip, Roman Kalentiev got acquainted with the state of winter crops after wintering.
Roman Kalentiev and heads of agricultural enterprises discussed plans for the upcoming sowing campaign, as well as the state of winter crops, the implementation of the spring sowing plan, the use of optimal rates of mineral fertilizers in order to obtain high crop yields.
Together with the deputy HEAD of the administration of the Kamensky district Alexander Martynov, the head of the regional ministry of agriculture assessed the state of winter crops and discussed the degree of readiness of the district's agricultural formations for spring field work. Despite the difficult weather conditions that prevailed in January, the condition of most of the winter crops is assessed as good and satisfactory.
Roman Kalentiev paid special attention to the timely application of fertilizers, since mineral fertilizers are one of the main factors affecting the yield of winter crops - wheat and rye.
Winter grain crops of the 2023 harvest in the Penza region cover an area of ​​356 thousand hectares, of which winter wheat is 350 thousand hectares. As of today, winter crops have been fed on an area of ​​over 2.5 thousand hectares.
