Beekeeping is actively developing in Kuzbass

Beekeeping is an integral part of the livestock industry in the region. As of May 2022, there are 1646 beekeeping farms in Kuzbass, which contain about 36 thousand bee colonies. In 2021, about 960 tons of marketable honey were produced.
“Beekeepers in our region produce a wide variety of honey and bee products – wax, propolis, royal jelly, honeys with extracts and even dry honey. Basically, bees are kept in small quantities in private farms, therefore, three agricultural consumer cooperatives in the field of beekeeping have been established and are actively working in the region. Thanks to cooperation, beekeepers have the opportunity to process honey, expand the range and markets for their products. And this product is in great demand among the inhabitants of the region, this can be seen at all agricultural fairs, ”comments Andrey Aritkulov, Minister of Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kuzbass.
SSOPSK "Sibirpchelovodprom" was organized in 2014 with a grant to provide its members and their beekeeping farms with equipment, inventory, medicines, feed, honey plant seeds, consumables for the beekeeping industry, as well as the processing and sale of honey, bee products.
SEC "Siberian Honey" was established in 2015 as part of the implementation of the agro-industrial cluster project. The main goal of the cooperative is to create conditions for the efficient and accelerated development of industrial apiaries based on innovative technologies.
SPOSSK "Taiga honey of Siberia" was created in 2016. The cooperative specializes in the production of organic honey from wild plants from all over the region. it has two vehicles for maintenance of apiaries during roaming.
Beekeeping cooperatives are regular recipients of grants and subsidies intended for agricultural cooperation. So, for example, this year all of them have already received subsidies to reimburse part of the costs for the purchase of agricultural machinery, specialized vehicles and various equipment, as well as agricultural products from members of the cooperative.
