The Bashkir producer of greenhouse vegetables, grains and industrial crops, the Multidisciplinary Agricultural Enterprise Avilat Agricultural Complex, will be reimbursed 52 million rubles for the irrigation system. This became possible thanks to the enterprise’s participation in the project “Export of Agricultural Products” of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.
“The investment project for the development of the Alga agricultural cooperative as part of the Avilat agricultural complex was considered at a meeting of the Investment Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan and included in the list of priorities in 2022. On the land plot leased under the import substitution program, it is planned to create an irrigation system with a capacity of 642 hectares. The total investment volume will be 654 million rubles. At the first stage, an irrigation system was built to provide moisture to SUGAR beet crops with a capacity of 377 hectares, noted First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan - Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of Bashkortostan Rustam Muratov.
It is planned that the implementation of the project will increase the volume of sugar beet production and increase the region’s EXPORT potential for the final product - sugar. Let us note that sugar is one of the most important export products in the republic. Its region actively exports to countries in Asia and the Middle East.
The project is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic and the Bashkortostan Development Corporation. Fully planned for implementation in 2025. The company currently employs 250 people, and it is planned to create 41 additional jobs.
“Over 5 years, 9 projects on irrigation and drainage measures with a total area of 3.5 thousand hectares, worth 411 million rubles, have been implemented in the republic. As part of the program “Development of the Land Reclamation Complex of RUSSIA,” they were reimbursed for 251 million rubles of expenses, says Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Belarus - Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov. “We will continue to work; we need to significantly increase the share of irrigated land in Bashkortostan.”
Today, on the territory of the Republic of Bashkortostan, there are about 186 irrigation systems with a capacity of almost 40 thousand hectares, the degree of wear and tear of the reclamation infrastructure of agricultural enterprises is about 80-90%, due to the fact that most of the State reclamation systems were built in 1975-1985.
Considering the increasing frequency of dry seasons in the region, the activity of Bashkir farmers investing in irrigation, especially in fodder crop rotations, is growing.
