Tambov farmers started harvesting peas

At the zenith of summer, the farmers of Zherdevsky, Petrovsky and Tokarevsky districts started harvesting peas. This year, more than 46 thousand hectares were sown with crops, which is 14% more than in 2021. To date, 548 ha have been harvested, with an average yield of about 30 q/ha.
Peas are one of the most important agricultural crops for the Tambov region, which is grown not only for sale, but also for the formation of a forage base in animal husbandry.
In addition, peas as green manure restore soil fertility and ensure high productivity of the grain link of the crop rotation.
Так как на горох сейчас нет экспортных ограничений, данное направление растениеводства является перспективным для экспорта. В прошлом году на экспорт отправлено менее 1%. А в 2022 году экспорт гороха из области составил 7,5% в общем объеме агроэкспорта.
