Vladimir Putin can attend the finals of the Young Professionals Championship (WorldSkills RUSSIA ), which will be held in Ufa at the end of August. The HEAD of state announced this at a meeting with workers of the Cemiks plant launched today, August 6, in the Abzelilovsky district of the republic.
“The WorldSkills movement, which we joined not so long ago, has become a good impetus in the development of an extremely important area of workforce training. This is all the more important because in today's world the success of the entire economy depends on well-trained educated people at every level of production. The demand for such personnel is extremely high. I would like to point out one more thing that is related to the WorldSkills movement. it seems to me that thanks to this movement, not only the demand, but also respect for working professions has grown significantly,” Vladimir Putin said, answering a question from the plant’s employees.
According to him, this is evidenced by the fact that about 60% of school graduates today want to get working specialties in technical schools and colleges.
The Head of State hopes that the finals of the WorldSkills Championship in Ufa will be held at a high level. He noted that Bashkortostan can prepare and hold such events, and in terms of the number of participants and the number of competencies that will be presented during the competition, the event in Ufa will be higher than the world championship held in Kazan.
“I don’t know if I can come or not. But I always take it with great interest. Therefore, if I succeed, I will certainly try,” Putin said.
