The Russian economy is close to overheating due to the situation on the labor market. This was stated in an interview on the Bitkogan Youtube channel by the head of the monetary policy department of the Central Bank, Kirill Tremasov.
“Analysis of the [labor] market shows that yes, the Russian economy is close to overheating,” he said.
In his opinion, "we are already above our potential." “Above that trajectory of our potentialities. And the labor market is precisely the key constraint on long-term growth,” Tremasov said.

The head of the department believes that the Russian economy is currently facing a growing shortage of labor resources. “And, in fact, it is the state of the labor market that is one of the best indicators for economists of where the economy is relative to its potential,” he explained. Tremasov specified that the future prospects for economic growth will depend on the growth of its productivity.
