The HEAD of the Ministry of HEALTH of the Perm Territory urged residents to get vaccinated before September 10 - before the start of the expected seasonal rise in the incidence of SARS and CORONAVIRUS. This was told by the Minister of Health of the Territory Anastasia Kruten at a meeting of the Committee on Social Policy in the course of a report on the state of health of the population of the region, the press service of the Legislative Assembly of the Perm Territory reports.

“Every resident of the Perm Territory can contribute to the fight for a healthy population by being vaccinated. To create herd immunity, it is necessary to vaccinate now, before the seasonal increase in the incidence, which we expect in September, ”said Kruten.

In addition, the minister added that the Perm Territory will receive 12,000 sets of nasal vaccine against covid-19 .

“In the near future, the region will receive 12,000 nasal vaccine kits against coronavirus,” the minister added.

According to the Ministry of Health of the Perm Territory, since the beginning of mass vaccination in the region, 1.47 million residents of the region have been vaccinated with the first component. Of these, 1.39 million have completed the course of immunization - they have received the first and second components. The Perm Territory does not fully meet the criteria for a “COVID-19-free” region, and herd immunity is 6.1%.
