April 24, Grodno. Wages in agriculture in January-February 2023 increased by more than 25%. This was announced to journalists by Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Zayats after the President's on the development of the region, BelTA has learned.
“Last year, we increased wages by 23%. And in these two months we increased it by 25.6%. 26% growth in revenue in agriculture. Prime Minister - Today, our revenue per person is higher than the wage fund. That is, we do not eat away, we earn. We pay wages from the money we earn."At the same time, Leonid Zayats noted that wages in agriculture lag behind the national average. So, he emphasized, it is necessary to achieve better results: to produce more products, to get more returns from the introduced technologies. "The President correctly raises the question: a lot of money has been invested in agriculture - we need to get more returns," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
He drew attention to the fact that in each of the branches of agriculture - both in crop production and in animal husbandry - there are many reserves, where at least 5-6% can be added. "It is necessary to work. Each industry, especially the one where money is invested, must bring new money. We must not work in vain in order to "get rich", but work in order to earn. For the result to be, for people to feel it, for the enterprise to feel the result of its work," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
One of the topics of the meeting in Grodno was the sale of Belarusian products for EXPORT. “It is necessary to act more flexibly, more aggressively on other markets, except for the Russian Federation. And to cope with the volumes that take place at our dairy enterprises,” said Leonid Zayats.
The work of the industrial sector of the region was also discussed. The HEAD of state was presented with proposals to improve the economic efficiency of enterprises, including through the cost of raw materials. "The Russian Federation has lowered the price of raw MILK from agricultural producers, other countries have reduced the cost of milk. We operate on foreign markets with our product, and competition is very important to us. If we pay someone more than today on the market, then we expose ourselves to economic our industrial enterprises are at risk," the Deputy Prime Minister explained.
