June 25, Vitebsk. During the VIII Forum of the Regions of Belarus and RUSSIA, the Vitebsk Region plans to sign an action plan for 2021-2024 to implement the cooperation agreement with the Stavropol Territory. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the economy committee of the regional executive committee.
The signing of the new plan will take place online. The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee and the government of the Stavropol Territory of the Russian Federation will continue cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural areas. The previous agreement was concluded on June 30, 2017, and now the parties need to review, supplement and expand the areas of interaction, taking into account the new realities of the time. The partners will discuss mutually beneficial proposals and projects.
Since the beginning of this year, within the framework of the Belarusian-Russian cooperation, 22 economic entities of the Vitebsk region have signed 159 commercial contracts. The amount of EXPORT contracts is about $53.3 million. Among the largest market participants interacting with Russian business are light and food industry enterprises of the Vitebsk region. Belarusian footwear, linen fabrics and textiles, dairy products (cheeses, whey, curds, butter, MILK powder) and MEAT products are in the greatest demand among Russian consumers . Also in the regions of Russia, components and parts for agricultural machines, ceramic bricks, cable products are in demand.
