Since the beginning of the year, KGC has inspected more than 100 livestock facilities located in 48 agricultural organizations of the region. Most of them show violations of veterinary and sanitary legislation, industry regulations for keeping animals and other legal acts. Among the main problems are inadequate and unbalanced feeding of cattle , inadequate housing conditions and veterinary support. The need to put things in order and protect the territory, clean manure storages, walking areas and sheds is noted at 78 out of 103 checked objects in Glussky, Dribinsky, Klimovichsky and other districts. Proper feeding is provided to adult livestock on 55 farms inspected in Chaussky, Mstislavsky, Bobruisk districts, etc. Violations of industry regulations when feeding calves with colostrum, MILK and water, lack or absence of starter feed, proper disinfection of milk utensils or its absence were detected at 64 objects.
Inadequate examination of cows for the presence of mastitis, non-compliance with vaccination schemes for young and adult livestock were identified at 49 MTFs. There is an acute problem of providing the livestock industry with zootechnical and veterinary specialists; in some farms it has not been solved for years. So, at the time of monitoring, the position of the chief veterinarian at Zhelezinsky AGRO OJSC in the Slavgorod region has been vacant since 2018, at Rudeya Grand OJSC in the Chaussky district, all positions of the veterinary service were vacant, and there were no chief veterinarians and livestock specialists for more than 5 years.
