Increasing egg production of laying hens in Kabardino-Balkaria: successes and prospects

The increase in chicken population has been a key factor in this growth. Currently, the total number of laying hens in the republic has reached 2.3 million, a 14% increase over last year. This demonstrates that local farmers are actively expanding their farms by implementing modern technologies and poultry care methods.

The main reasons for increased egg production include:

  1. Improved feeding: Farmers began using more balanced and nutritious feeds, enriched with vitamins and minerals.
  2. Housing conditions: Modern technologies, including automated ventilation and lighting systems, provide comfortable conditions for the birds.
  3. Breeding work: Active selection and selection of the best breeds contribute to increased productivity.
  4. Farmer training and support : Consulting and training programs help farmers implement best practices in production.

Thus, increased egg production and an increase in the chicken population open up new opportunities for the region's agricultural sector, potentially leading to lower egg prices and the creation of new jobs. Further implementation of innovative technologies is expected in the future, helping to increase production volumes and improve product quality. Kabardino-Balkaria is becoming a model for other Russian regions striving to develop agriculture and improve the well-being of their populations.
