The Kremlin has begun analyzing the imposed sanctions to develop countermeasures, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said , according to an RBC correspondent.

"The sanctions that have been imposed are currently being analyzed. We will do what best serves our interests," Peskov said, responding to a question about Russia's retaliatory measures.

The 19th EU sanctions package came into force on October 23. They include a ban on imports of Russian liquefied natural gas from 2027 and the provision of tourism services in RUSSIA. Restrictions also apply to transactions with five Russian banks and 21 individuals.

On October 22, the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) imposed sanctions against two Russian oil companies, Rosneft and Lukoil. The decision was explained by the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control ( OFAC) as "Russia's lack of serious interest in the peace process."
