Gerhardt introduces the improved TURBOTHERM TTs range of rapid decomposition systems. TURBOTHERM are decomposition systems based on infrared technology. The flasks are heated by infrared emitters which allow a quick heating and cooling. Turbotherm devices can handle the widest range of samples in the modern laboratory.

The Turbotherm can be described as a multifunctional programmable acid decomposition heater. The system consists of a Turbotherm main unit, a two-tier console, a plug-in tube rack, an outlet manifold with drip tray, a waterjet pump, and a hose.
The cantilevered design securely holds the vapor-diverting device, tripod, and drip tray, providing easy and compact placement as well as maximum convenience in day-to-day operation of the unit. The system features an electronic timer and power control. The system is controlled by an advanced microcontroller with a color display. The control unit is tiltable, allowing
IT to be positioned in different positions depending on operator preference. The current status is shown continuously on the display. In addition to the default programmed operating methods, the user can store up to 99 new programs (each containing up to 40 steps). Program parameter adjustments can be made even while the analysis is in progress.
A password protected user registration function makes
it possible to view logins and activities for each user and thus provides transparency and traceability of the analysis. For tamper-proof analysis there are two user levels with assigned rights and password protection.
Decomposition time is minimized by extremely short heating and cooling periods. For example, it takes no more than 10 minutes to bring a 12-sample tripod to boiling point.
