Nesvizh district is a mirror of the country's agricultural sector. They look at him. They look up to him, admire, envy him: they say, it is easy to be successful on such lands! But is it so simple, even if in the local ratings of the Nesvizh region some are higher, others are lower? How to become an effective manager in the countryside, asked Anatoly Rudyak, DIRECTOR of the May 1 CJSC.

Dairy herd doubled

- Roll up your sleeves and work, and success and recognition will come, give it time! - answered the HEAD of the enterprise, recognized according to the results of work for 2022 as the best in the Nesvizh district.

So Anatoly Rudyak has seven days of the week - working, they begin at five in the morning. In such a schedule, he has been living for the last 16 years. Ever since he took over the helm. He has been working at CJSC "May 1" even longer - 27 years. In the agricultural sector - all my life.

What distinguishes CJSC "May 1" from other agricultural enterprises?

“Yes, everything seems to be like everyone else: a good dairy herd, a cattle fattening complex, but it was not always like this,” Anatoly Rudyak noted and spoke about how he had to adjust the production strategy 10 years ago, because it was originally profitable back in 2000- th years, fattening of cattle (the farm lived by growing beef) became unprofitable.

In order not to become outsiders, May 1 CJSC changed the balance of industries. Without reducing the fattening of cattle, they began to increase the dairy herd. Perestroika required large financial, labor and moral costs. Today it is already obvious that the forces and means were not spent in vain.

– We increased the dairy herd from 640 to 1362 heads. Cows were relocated from five old farms to three modern dairy complexes with free-standing livestock and milking parlors, - the director of May 1 CJSC lists the advantages of the new main line.

Modernization of old farms and arrangement of new MTK, the growth of the number of dairy cows became a strong impetus for the development of the enterprise.

CJSC daily ships at least 26.5 tons of MILK, the marketability of which, according to the results of 2022, increased to 92%. The average milk yield per cow is 6839 kg, or +375 kg to the level of 2021. 94.6% of milk is extra.

Growing up the dairy industry, Pervomai people constantly remembered how important beef production is for people and the state. Thus, CJSC "May 1" continued to engage in fattening on an industrial scale. Today, 5.5 thousand bulls are gaining weight in a specialized complex of farms.

For cereals, corn, rapeseed and beets - in the black!

Feeding 8557 heads of cattle, of which 1372 are dairy cows, is not easy, but farmers work in such a way that the herds of the farm are provided with a reliable fodder base all year round. So in 2022, we received a significant grain harvest: 10,719 tons were harvested (+940 tons by 2021). On average, one hectare under grain and leguminous crops yielded 61.6 centners, which is 5.4 centners more than in 2021. They also added in corn, the gross grain harvest of which is 2482 tons (+648 tons by 2021), with a yield of 82.7 centners per hectare (+8.2 centners per hectare by 2021).

Provision with grassy fodder per one conditional head of livestock is 25.6 centners per unit, which is 2% higher than the level of 2021. 31.0 thousand tons of silage, about 18.0 thousand tons of haylage, 927 tons of hay were harvested.

Winter rapeseed also pleased: 940 tons of oilseeds were obtained from 300 hectares (+261 tons by 2021), with a yield of 31.3 centners per hectare (+ 6.2 centners per hectare by 2021). Even the SUGAR crop, which, in principle, last year was not very productive (due to drought), did not let down the growers. In 2022, CJSC grew 18.17 thousand tons of sweet root crops for the Gorodey Sugar Plant (+ 3.925 thousand tons by 2021) with a yield of 556 centners per hectare (+184 centners per hectare by 2021).

Spring is a time of hope

CJSC "May 1", like most farms, relies on winter crops. In autumn, 1200 hectares were sown with grain, another 300 hectares - with rapeseed. According to the scientists of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences for Agriculture, the wintering of winter crops took place without major losses. Reading the weather reports and scientists' forecasts, Anatoly Rudyak and the agronomic service of the JSC monitor the condition of the fields under crops themselves, try not to miss the ideal time to close the moisture of the lands intended for spring crops, beets.

- No spring is like another, but this time itself gives farmers hope that the coming year will be more successful than the previous one. The eternal optimism of the farmer rests on this, - the head of the CJSC "May 1" shares the eternal grain-growing anxieties.

The farm took care of the seeds in advance. Here, in particular, they intend to sow 240 hectares of fields with barley, 200 hectares with legumes and 250 hectares with corn for grain. For spring sowing and spring top dressing, fertilizers were purchased in the required volume. Sowing equipment is also ready. And most importantly, the staff of CJSC "May 1", which employs 240 people, is ready.

Among those who make a significant contribution to the success of the farm are Sergey Osipenko, Deputy Director for Livestock Breeding, Vitaly Chernyavsky, Chief Engineer, Tatyana Grinkevich, livestock specialist, breeder, Marina Yunets, head of the Leonovichi ITC, Dmitry Mikhalenya, operator of the mechanized installation of the same farm, foreman of the complex Svetlana SKODA, operator of the same complex, Irina Goncharuk, tractor driver Stanislav Fleryanovich, machine operator for maintenance of complexes Sergey Sinichin and others.

Peace, work and care for a person

Among the first social tasks of CJSC "May 1" is the provision of housing for members of the labor collective. There is not a single person in the queue for square meters on the farm. Everyone already has their own roof over their heads.

- The team is complete, but if there are intelligent machine operators and other specialists, they are ready to accept, - said the director Anatoly Rudyak and specified: - Two manor-type houses are free for them. Two more will be built before the end of the year.

Wise men say that accidents are not accidental. Apparently, it is predetermined that the farm, which received the name "May 1" 70 years ago in honor of the holiday, on the banner of which there are two words important for people - Peace and Labor - continues to occupy leadership positions. Peace and Labor - the main achievements of the Belarusian state - remain the priorities of our country today.

CJSC "May 1" in numbers (2022):

The annual volume of gross output is 23.0124 million rubles. (growth rate - 113.6%).

Revenue from sales of products - 21.8 million rubles. (growth rate - 128%).
