The capabilities of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange in the field of cross-border exchange trading were presented at the interregional forum “Import and Export: Opportunities, Tools, Practices” and the interregional specialized transport and logistics forum of the Black Earth Region, which were held in the Voronezh industrial park “Perspective”. Speaking in the thematic section of E-commerce (online trading), the
HEAD of the department of foreign economic activity of BUTB, Alexander Bashliy, highlighted in detail the practical aspects of using the exchange mechanism when promoting the
EXPORT of products of enterprises of the Central Black Earth Economic Region of the Russian Federation. Particular emphasis was placed on a simplified accreditation procedure for residents of the Russian Federation, control over the execution of transactions, risk reduction tools, as well as comprehensive information and marketing support from the exchange. According to the BUCE representative, companies from almost all regions of the Black Earth Region are participating in the auction, using the exchange platform for both export and import purposes.
“If we take the export direction, companies from the Voronezh and Lipetsk regions are working quite actively this year, supplying food wheat and feed barley to
Belarus . The Belgorod region has also significantly increased its export volumes to the Belarusian market. These are mainly steel metal structures and electrical equipment. As for imports from Belarus, the leaders in this indicator are currently the Voronezh and Belgorod regions. In the first case, we are talking about purchases of butter,
MILK powder and lumber, and in the second, again about lumber,
MEAT products and scrap non-ferrous metals. “,
the business of the Black Earth Region is gradually being involved in exchange trading with Belarus, and for some companies the exchange platform is becoming not an additional, but the main channel of purchases and distribution in Belarus,” emphasized Alexander Bashliy.
The head of the BUTB Foreign Economic Activity Department also took part in the round table “Digitalization of transport logistics in the Black Earth Region”, describing how the delivery of exchange goods to near and far abroad is carried out and which logistics routes are most in demand in
2024 .
