The transport in which the MEAT was located belonged to the individual entrepreneur R.R. Yamurzin and was intended for sale at the Yekaterinburg market. The meat was transported without special refrigeration equipment, appropriate markings and notes on origin, production date and expiration date. Moreover, the storage conditions violated veterinary and sanitary regulations: the products were unprotected and without the necessary protection from contamination.

The ROSSELKHOZNADZOR Administration issued a demand to withdraw the meat from circulation, and the carcasses were transferred to the owner for safekeeping until the completion of legal procedures. Violation of veterinary and sanitary standards entails administrative liability under Article 10.8 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Offenses.
