December 30, Gomel. A renovated dairy complex with unique design was commissioned in the Petrikov District, BelTA reports.

New facilities have been commissioned at the existing dairy complex. Construction of two cowsheds, each capable of accommodating 384 head of dairy cows, a milking parlor, and a health center for young animals up to three months of age, began in July of this year at the livestock complex in the agro-town of Lyaskovichi. The infrastructure has expanded rapidly. The work was completed with high quality and within an optimal timeframe.
The commissioning of the facilities was inspected by Yuri Nazarov, Head of the Presidential Property Management Department and Presidential Envoy to the Gomel Region, and Ivan Krupko, Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee.
"The building frames and structures are made of laminated timber. These structures are unique in that they are larger than reinforced concrete barns. Consequently, the floor area is also larger," the company explained. The livestock

is housed in a group, loose-stall, and box housing system. Animals are
fed from a free-access feed table. Cows are watered using electrically heated group drinkers, installed at a rate of one drinker per 25-50 head. Cows are milked twice daily using an automated "Parallel" milking machine.

According to the farm, the commissioning of these production facilities will increase the number of cattle housed at the facility to 2,000 head and provide adequate space for the heifer herd.

As Yuri Nazarov, Head of the Presidential Property Management Department, noted, the Lyaskovichi dairy farm has been commissioned, and the next step is to build a dairy herd.
To increase dairy productivity and staff the new production facilities, the farm plans to acquire over 300 heifers with a milk yield of over 7,000 kg per cow. This will be the focus of the farm's operations in the near future. The complex is expected to begin operations in the first quarter of 2026.
Yuri Nazarov and Ivan Krupko also learned about the conditions created for young professionals in the Petrikovsky District. Specifically, they visited a 24-apartment building in the agro-town of Lyaskovichi, built specifically for this category. This three-story building offers spacious apartments, the keys to which will soon be handed over to specialists in the most in-demand professions in the district. Among them are workers at the Lyaskovichi Transport and Communications Complex.
