An 18-year-old boy who was caught in icy water was rescued in Vitebsk.

The incident occurred on December 25 at around 4:00 a.m. A Department of Security officer was patrolling his assigned territory and saw a man attempting to pull a man out of the water on the opposite bank of the Vitba River. The officer informed the emergency services, rescuers, and medics about the situation. The officer's colleagues quickly came to the rescue.
"Through joint efforts, we pulled the 18-year-old man, who was in severe distress, out of the icy water."" He was intoxicated . He was handed over to an ambulance crew; his life is currently out of danger," the Ministry of Internal Affairs assured.
