The Leningrad Region is ready to completely replace the Volzhanin poultry farm's egg production.

In a discussion with TASS , Deputy Governor for Agriculture Oleg Malashchenko noted that the region currently houses 33 million birds. The Volzhanin poultry farm produced approximately 1.23–1.3 billion eggs, and given the additional capacity of two regional farms, Sinyavinskaya and Roskar, which account for approximately 9% of Russia's total production, the situation is under control. The regional government aims to reach 5 billion egg production per year by 2030. Currently, the Leningrad Region produces approximately 3.7 billion eggs annually, which not only satisfies the region's needs but also creates a 670% surplus.
