January 7, Gomel. The results of the Gomel Region's agro-industrial complex in 2025 will provide a strong foundation for the industry's development in the near future. Gomel Regional Executive Committee Chairman Ivan Krupko expressed this confidence in a conversation with journalists and addressed President
ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO, BelTA reports.
The Gomel Regional Executive Committee Chairman reported to the President on the implementation of instructions following last year's meeting in Vitebsk, dedicated to the work of agricultural organizations. The region has promptly adopted a number of measures to support enterprises in the sector, including through sponsorship."Overall, by the end of 2025, growth has been achieved in key sectors such as
agriculture (112.1%), construction (123%), and others. According to current statistics, 568,000 square meters of housing have been commissioned, and the housing construction target, including with state support, has been largely met," emphasized Ivan Krupko.
According to the
HEAD of the region, last year's results have provided a good foundation for the near future for the heads of several agricultural enterprises. "They have already felt the [growth – BELTA] in income from crop and livestock products. And this is reflected in investment opportunities for further development and, of course, the well-being and prosperity of every agricultural enterprise employee," he noted.
Farmers in the country's southeast ended the year with growth in a number of indicators. "In particular,
MILK production growth is currently at 107%. The goal is to maintain this pace and increase
it so that the first year of the new five-year plan becomes a good start for the development of the agro-industrial complex and the five-year plan as a whole," Ivan Krupko outlined the target.
The report to the President also touched on the situation in the southeastern region, which is unfolding amid heavy snowfall.
