In 2023, approximately 50% of Russian meat imports came from Belarus

Statistics on the supply of MEAT products over the past year were announced by the HEAD of ROSSELKHOZNADZOR, Sergei Dankvert, at the final board meeting held on March 28–29.

According to Rosselkhoznadzor, last year the volume of meat imports amounted to 586 thousand tons: 1.4 thousand tons of pork, 201 thousand tons of beef, 232 thousand tons of meat and poultry by-products.

The total volume of Russian meat exports last year amounted to 649 thousand tons, including 309 thousand tons of meat and poultry by-products in slaughter weight, 158 thousand tons of pork, 31 thousand tons of beef.
