September 8, MINSK . Vitebsk Region traffic police detained 39 unlicensed drivers over the weekend, the Vitebsk Region Executive Committee's Traffic Police Department told BelTA.
Thirty-nine accidents involving property damage were recorded on the roads of the Vitebsk Region over the past weekend, 17 of which were in the regional capital.
Law enforcement officers detained 11 drunk drivers and 39 unlicensed drivers. 146 drivers violated speed limits, and another 5 violated overtaking rules.
