Regulation of the number of farm animals in private farms in Khabarovsk Krai

Regional authorities will be responsible for setting the maximum number of cows and chickens allowed on private property, based on sanitary standards and local conditions. The bill's sponsors claim that such regulations will reduce complaints from neighbors about noise and unpleasant odors and help prevent outbreaks of dangerous diseases. Currently, there are over 16 million registered private farms in the country, but existing veterinary regulations governing their maintenance are often ignored. With new amendments to the federal law on private farms, authorities plan to better control the number of animals on private property.
