Belarus intends to develop exchange trade in agricultural products with African countries, BELTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange.
"Expansion of the geography of exports of Belarusian dry
milk, new sources of raw materials for the domestic food industry and agreements on cooperation with business structures of African countries. These are the first results of the participation of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange in the Intra-African Trade Fair
2025, which is taking place on 4-10 September in Algeria," the BUCE noted.
In particular, as part of the business program of the fair, meetings were held with a number of large milk processing enterprises in Algeria on the issues of purchasing products of the Belarusian dairy industry at exchange trades.
Working through the exchange will optimize supply chains and eliminate unnecessary intermediary links.
In addition, companies from Zimbabwe expressed their readiness to place applications for the sale of dried fruits, fruit puree and juice concentrates on the BUCE. By using the exchange mechanism, Zimbabwean producers plan to enter the market of Belarus and other member states of the Eurasian Economic Union with their goods.
Representatives of the Mozambique Investment and
Export Promotion Agency have also expressed interest in interacting with BUCE.

Currently, residents of five African countries are accredited at BUCE: Egypt, Kenya, Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal and South Africa. Representatives of Senegal were the last to come to the exchange to conclude deals on the import of whole milk powder.
JSC "Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange" was established in 2004. The first trades took place in June 2005. BUCE is one of the largest commodity exchanges in Eastern Europe. Its main function is to assist Belarusian enterprises in exporting products and to assist foreign companies in entering the Belarusian market. The exchange sells metal, timber,
agricultural products , industrial and consumer goods of a wide range.
