The event presented the latest solutions for the production of MEAT products “from field to table”. A busy business program was also organized - the summit “Russian Agricultural Policy: Product Safety and Quality”. Representatives of government and business traditionally meet at this platform , developing a consolidated position on issues of state policy in relation to the agro-industrial complex, reaching agreements on measures to support the industry in the field of livestock production. For three days, plenary sessions, panel discussions, and round tables were held in six halls. In total, the speakers made more than 120 presentations.
The work of the Summit was opened by a panel discussion “The situation in the market for the production of animal protein and opportunities for RUSSIA in the next 10-20 years.” Its participants discussed a wide range of issues, in particular, the development of key global and Russian markets and the EXPORT potential of domestic livestock farming. The key speakers were the DIRECTOR of the FAO Office for Liaison with the Russian Federation Oleg Kobyakov, who spoke about the global market for the production of animal proteins, the chief industry analyst of Rosselkhozbank Andrey Dalnov, who made a report on the topic “Sources of animal protein - a strategy for market development”, the President of A'Saffa Food Processing Ahmed Khan Faisal, who told the session guests about the meat needs of the Middle East and North Africa.
At the round table “Epizootic situation: ensuring safety and vectors of import substitution” organized by ROSSELKHOZNADZOR, the problems of developing and implementing means of specific prevention of diseases of farm animals and poultry were discussed. A round table “Control and ensuring food security in the Russian Federation” was also held under the auspices of the department . Its participants discussed current regulatory trends in the field of food safety, issues of ensuring the requirements of the EAEU legislation for the content of veterinary drug residues in livestock and poultry products. The focus was also on the safety of feed additives, causative agents of socially significant foodborne toxic infections in poultry farming, and determination of the raw material composition of meat products. Among the speakers were scientific experts from ARRIAH and VGNKI.
A separate block of presentations was devoted to the problems of product traceability “from field to counter”. The speakers reported on the current situation and pressing problems of the draft EAEU Technical Regulations “On the safety of feed and feed additives”, assessing the quality of feed grain, feed and feed additives, as well as the introduction of the Horriot component for recording the number of farm animals and poultry. Presentations at the summit were also made by representatives of the companies Sibur, Megamix, DanoneAgroRus, GAP Resurs, Lazarevskoye Tech and others, as well as experts and analysts from various industry unions - the National Union of Pig Breeders, the National Meat Association, the Rospoultry Union etc.
Also within the framework of the Summit, the congress of the National Association of Turkey Producers (NAPI) and the All-Russian congress of leading HR managers of agricultural enterprises were held. Much attention was paid to the issues of technological equipment and modernization of livestock farming processes, including from the point of view of greening processes, modern solutions for growing and slaughtering, and cooling products. The winners of the next stage of the competition “Moscow Quality 2024” in the category “Meat products and poultry products” were awarded certificates from the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federal State Budgetary Institution “FSC Food Systems named after. V.M. Gorbatov."
According to the president of the analytical company AgriFood Strategies, Albert Davleev, who spoke at the NAPI congress on the topic “World Turkey Production,” the event was useful and eventful. “At the Summit, we met with Russian and foreign colleagues, were able to discuss current topics, find common ground and develop a common position on key professional issues,” he noted.
