Epizootic foci were identified in private farmsteads in the village of Standard (Sredneakhtubinsky district) and on the farm Endovsky (Serafimovichsky district). The diagnosis of ASF was confirmed by the results of a study of pathological material in the Volgograd Regional Veterinary Laboratory.

The threatened zone with a radius of five kilometers around the outbreak in the Sredneakhtubinsky district included the village of Srednyaya Akhtuba, the Zayar farm and the village of Zaplavnoye in the Leninsky district. In the Serafimovichi district, quarantine has been declared on the farms of Endovsky and Kletsko-Pochtovsky.

Infected areas are closed to outsiders. On the access roads there are round-the-clock checkpoints with disinfection barriers. The movement and regrouping of pigs, the procurement of feed and the EXPORT of pig products are prohibited. Veterinary services carry out sanitary and preventive measures. Alienated 20 heads of pigs. Their owners will be compensated.

Since the beginning of the year, four outbreaks of ASF have been registered in the Volgograd region
