
This year, a total of 14,500 hens were brought to Chukotka, financed by budgetary funds. Upon arrival, the new arrivals will be quarantined for two weeks and will begin laying eggs by the end of September. The poultry farm currently houses over 26,000 hens, which meet 42% of the region's egg demand .
Chukotka Governor Vladislav Kuznetsov expressed hope for the region's full supply of chicken eggs, planning to increase production to 13 million eggs per year. However, logistical issues remain regarding food delivery to remote northern regions.
