Egg producers explain the rise in prices by increasing costs associated with keeping poultry, as well as outbreaks of bird flu in some regions of RUSSIA. However, according to experts, there is no significant increase in the price of eggs.
Tatyana Ausheva , acting HEAD of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR department for the Belgorod, Voronezh and Lipetsk regions, said that there are no obvious prerequisites for a sharp and large-scale increase in the price of eggs . She believes that it is necessary to deal with the fact that the price of eggs has risen with the antimonopoly service, since there is clearly some deceit from the point of view of antimonopoly legislation.
According to Tatyana Ausheva, wages have increased, the cost of vaccines has increased, and the price of feed additives has increased, but these changes are taking place within the framework of inflation and cannot lead to such a significant increase in egg prices.
In this regard, experts predict that prices for chicken eggs will begin to decline in the near future. This will be facilitated by an increase in the supply of eggs on the market, as well as measures taken by the antimonopoly service to prevent unjustified price increases.
The Lipetsk region is one of the largest egg producers in Russia, providing 10% of the country's total production. In the region there are more than 20 poultry farms and more than 100 peasant farms that breed laying hens.
The government of the Lipetsk region is taking active measures to support farmers and ensure the availability of eggs for the population. One of these steps was the conclusion of an agreement on the maximum selling price with the enterprises of the Lipetskptitseprom cooperative. This agreement allows you to control the cost of products and prevent unreasonable price increases.
The enterprises of the Lipetskptitseprom cooperative produce a total of 1.3 million eggs per day and over 500 million per year. The Lipetsk region's own needs amount to 290 million eggs annually, and the rest is sold outside the region.
Experts note that an agreement on a maximum selling price will make the formation of the final cost more transparent for the buyer and will allow regulatory authorities to respond in a timely manner to any changes in pricing.
In addition to supporting farmers, the government of the Lipetsk region is also working to improve conditions for poultry farming in the region. In particular, last year a law was adopted that provides for subsidizing costs for gasification, water supply and water treatment, construction of roads and utilities, increasing the limit on short-term concessional loans and priority in the provision of land for poultry enterprises.
In addition, the law stipulates the obligation for retail chains to enter into long-term contracts for the supply of eggs with farmers and limits the trade margin on eggs to no more than 10 percent.
All these measures are aimed at supporting farmers, ensuring the availability of eggs for the population and the stable development of poultry farming in the Lipetsk region.
