According to the operational data of the Ministry of Agriculture, as of September 26, 515.5 thousand hectares (84%) of grain and leguminous crops were threshed, including spring wheat threshed from an area of 251.2 thousand hectares, barley - 114.6 thousand hectares, peas - 52.5 thousand ha, oats - 53.4 thousand ha. In general, 1 million 666 thousand tons of grain have been threshed in the region with an average grain yield of 32.3 c/ha. For comparison, on the same date in 2021, 75.4% of the area of cereals and legumes was harvested, and the average yield was 4 q/ha less than today.
The municipalities where grain harvesting was carried out by more than 90% include Guryevsky (92.7%), Mariinsky (99.3%), Prokopevsky (91.3%) municipal districts.
“With confident steps, we are approaching the final stage of work. The task is to have time to harvest all the fields, without exception, in the best agrotechnical terms and guarantee the food supply of Kuzbass,” comments Denis Ilyin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Kuzbass for the agro-industrial complex.
In addition to cereals, farmers are harvesting industrial crops - 85.6 thousand tons of rapeseed, 5.9 thousand tons of flax have been harvested, soybeans and triticale are also being harvested. 12 thousand tons of buckwheat have been harvested. Potatoes were harvested from an area of 6.9 thousand hectares (79.5%), 150.3 thousand tons were harvested. The harvest of vegetables is 14.6 thousand tons, they are almost half harvested.
In addition, the whole range of autumn field work is being carried out: the preparation of fodder for farm animals for the winter-stall period, the sowing of winter crops, and autumn tillage continue.
