Livestock production in Kabardino-Balkaria in January-February 2022 increased by 3-5% compared to the same period last year, the regional Ministry of Agriculture reports.
"In January-February 2022, the production of livestock and poultry (for slaughter in live weight), MILK and eggs increased in farms of all categories of Kabardino-Balkaria," the report says.
it is specified that 13.3 thousand tons of livestock and poultry MEAT were produced, which is almost 5% higher than the production volumes of the same period last year. Milk production also exceeds last year's volumes and amounts to over 58 thousand tons. In addition, the region received about 24 million eggs, which is 3% more than a year earlier.
“Livestock farms are working regularly, provided with fodder and veterinary preparations in the required volume. The number of livestock remains at the level of the same period last year. Preparations are already underway for the summer pasture season of livestock keeping,” said Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kabardino-Balkaria Machrail Shetov.
