In Kabardino-Balkaria, farmers harvested the first 50 thousand tons of grain

Grain harvesting continues in Kabardino-Balkaria. In addition to winter crops, farmers harvest spring cereals. According to operational data, about 50 thousand tons of wheat and barley grains have been harvested from an area of ​​14 thousand hectares. The average yield exceeds 35 q/ha, which is 103% compared to the same date last year.
In total, in Kabardino-Balkaria, according to preliminary data, about 220 thousand hectares are occupied by grain and leguminous crops this year. Farmers expect to get a grain harvest higher than last year.
In 2021, the gross grain harvest amounted to 1.286 million tons, while for the first time in the history of the republic, more than a million tons of corn grain were harvested.
