October 9, Brest. A large livestock complex opened on October 9 on the territory of Parokhonskoye JSC in the Pinsk District , BelTA reports.
Construction in the village of Kamen began in November
2024. Workers completed the project this September. The farm used its own funds and also secured a loan.
Parokhonskoye is focusing on
MILK and
MEAT production. Facilities are being reconstructed to increase the dairy herd. "The main goal of constructing this complex was related to feed logistics. The farm was acquired in 2018. Over the years, we have reconstructed one fattening barn on this site and built a new dairy complex for the dairy herd. The time has come to begin work in the village of Kamen. Since
it is approximately 20 km from the central farm, we were forced to build the complex here," explained Viktor Levsha, Deputy
DIRECTOR of Production.
The complex consists of four calf barns, two sheds for roughage, a grass pellet storage area, and five silage and haylage trenches. Comfortable conditions for animal housing are provided. Each calf barn is equipped with high-tech water circulation stations with heating for drinking, as well as stainless steel group drinkers.
The livestock complex is designed for the growing and finishing of over 1,300
HEAD of cattle . Parakhonsky has been using a standard polycarbonate construction design for several years, implementing know-how for animal comfort. Other farms are also benefiting from this experience. "We have everything here: light, air, and water. The temperature is the same in winter and summer," noted
Director Vladimir Khrolenko. "Any stressful situation affects
the animals , resulting in weight gain and illnesses. We've tried to incorporate the best available, moving away from walls as much as possible. Many of the decisions made here have been developed over the years."
Incidentally, less than 10 people will be employed at such a large complex. "We strive to do everything with technology. Our goal is to make the work of those involved in production easier. We are constantly improving, adding, and building," emphasized Viktor Levsha.
According to Dmitry Gorodetsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, the region is paying great attention to dairy farming and the construction of facilities for it. JSC "Parokhonskoye" is a prime example of the approach to beef farming. "Both
milk and
meat (
beef ) are in demand on the market. This is a focus. This requires two important things: feed and animal welfare conditions. Plus, a responsible attitude from workers," said Dmitry Gorodetsky. He added, that the Brest region is increasing
 production of cattle meat .
