In the Stavropol region, grain storage facilities are ready to receive about 10 million tons of products

– There are more than enough elevator enterprises and other capacities for grain storage in the region. Elevators, storage capacities of agricultural enterprises and farms can accept 10 million tons of grain products per season, while maintaining last year's stocks. At the same time, 33 main grain-receiving enterprises carry out grain storage in the region, including 10 enterprises store grain of the intervention fund, - said Vladimir Sitnikov, HEAD of the agrarian department of the Stavropol Territory.

The grain in the elevators is in conditions that ensure the maintenance of its quality within the accepted standards. In order to avoid the appearance of mold, fungus and various microorganisms that can cause damage to the crop, a certain level of moisture has been created at the elevator and mandatory ventilation.

- The region's elevators are able to take about 2.6 million tons for storage, the storage capacities of the region's farmers - another 7 million tons and 0.4 million tons - shipping sites. At the same time, the grain forage balance of grain crops in the Stavropol Territory is as follows: 525 thousand tons of grain must be left for seeds, 1 million tons for fodder, 900 thousand tons for rent to equity holders, 200 thousand tons for bakery needs, - told and.about. Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Sitnikov.

In 2021, the Stavropol Territory will close domestic grain consumption in the amount of 2.6 million tons, and the surplus (6 million tons) will be sold mainly in the export-oriented direction.

And while the grain is being prepared for sale, it is cleaned and dried in granaries and granaries. Thus, the Alexandrovsky elevator has the capacity to store 50 thousand tons of grain - this is one of the smallest elevators in the region. Blagodarnensky, Budyonnovsky and Ipatovsky elevators have the largest capacities - their capacity exceeds 200 thousand tons. They are followed by the elevators of Novoaleksandrovsky district - 170 thousand tons, Petrovsky district - 121 thousand tons and Grachevsky district - 110 thousand tons. Today they are filled by a quarter - about 700 thousand tons of grain.

But before getting to the granary, wheat and barley enter the mechtoka, where they are dried, pre-cleaned and sorted before being sent to the elevator. In the midst of the harvest, when trucks with grain are unloading from the combines to the territory of the enterprise, the workers of the mechtok are required to weigh the received grain, clean it and store it until transportation to the elevator.

So, since 2019, a conscientious and responsible driver of seed-cleaning machines Alexander Zorkin has been working at the production site No. 1 of the Novomaryevskoye agricultural enterprise. At the height of the harvesting campaign, he monitored the condition of the equipment, adjusted, identified and eliminated problems in the serviced machines, and also performed grain cleaning work in accordance with the technology.
