According to Ruben Vardanyan, the usual postulates turned out to be discarded, and in the new world, not only new coalitions are needed, butbut also new moral leaders and pillars Ruben Vardanyan

Globalization has not led to harmonization, but, on the contrary, has in many ways increased the polarization of society. There are signs of systemic chaos, from which it is necessary to look for a way out. Businessman Ruben Vardanyan wrote about this in a column for RBC.

Ruben Vardanyan New world: what should we be in order to get into it Opinion

In his opinion, the current events are a new wave of global changes that can last for decades. “Transformations will be painful, and there will be no area of our life that they would not affect. The situation is much more dangerous than the fall of any system or military, economic, financial conflicts.”

According to Vardanyan, such postulates as the presumption of innocence, the advantage of the individual in relation to society, the inviolability of private property, the truthfulness and reliability of information, the importance of the middle class as the basis of a modern state, may be discarded.

According to Vardanyan, there are three scenarios for overcoming the current crisis. In the short term, it is important to restore supply chains and rebalance financial systems—in other words, to respond to the urgent needs of people and businesses. On the medium time horizon - to decide on tactics and mobilization of resources and partners, and on the long term - to engage in technological development.

In the future, we can talk about new global trade coalitions and a new contour of world trust. “In civilizational conflicts, the role of small countries at the crossroads of civilizations is growing. Due to their size and historical experience, they can be at the forefront of finding innovative answers to the challenges of our time and contribute to the weakening of the polarization in the world,” Vardanyan believes.

In addition, according to the businessman, humanity needs moral leaders, people from different fields of activity who are ready to discuss key challenges together and look for answers to them. “Systemic chaos requires going beyond the usual “tunnel” of thinking for each individual stratum in an attempt to see the whole picture. It is these people who should form a new framework of trust - we see its crisis all over the world, the demand for change is global, ”he notes.

The role of communities is important, Vardanyan is sure. “The habitual supports — family, clan, community, religion and ideology, national and corporate identity — are being eroded, and our personal cosmos is an environment of people that calibrates, preserves and develops values. I do not rule out that in our projects there will be such a level of trust that even the legal registration of transactions will be a mere formality, the role of the participants' reputation will be so great. Only in such an environment will we create a truly new world, and will not rush about on the ruins of the old,” he believes.
