WHO appreciated the introduction of non-working days in Russia due to coronavirus

The effectiveness of non-working days, which were introduced in RUSSIA due to the worsening situation with the spread of CORONAVIRUS, will depend on the attitude of the population and the practical application of existing anti-epidemic measures. Melita Vujnovich, representative of the World HEALTH Organization (WHO) in Russia, stated this on air on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.

“It depends on the population and how seriously the situation is taken,” she said.

According to her, the WHO understands that more than 1 thousand people die every day in Russia due to the consequences of covid-19 . “This is a big number. it is very important that all the measures that are mentioned for 20 months and longer are practically implemented in order to reduce the increase in cases [of COVID-19 infection],” Vujnovic added.
