In Krasnodar, the number of serious crimes increased by 1.5 times

At the end of 2021, the number of serious and especially serious crimes in Krasnodar increased by 47%. This became known during the next meeting of the City Duma of Krasnodar.

“The growth in the number of crimes is due to remote acts that are committed not only from the territory of Krasnodar, but also from the territories of neighboring regions and other subjects of the Russian Federation. Their number is huge. Growth occurs due to the registration of precisely these types of crimes, ”said Dmitry Ostapenko, HEAD of the Russian Interior Ministry department for Krasnodar.

According to Ostapenko, since the beginning of Russia's special operation in Ukraine, the number of such crimes has decreased by 2 times.

In 2021, the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RUSSIA for Krasnodar considered 11.5 thousand appeals from citizens, 21.5 thousand crimes were registered, which is 2.5 thousand more crimes than in 2020. The growth of registrations is connected with the increased internal and external migration of the population.

At the end of 2021, the number of crimes committed by foreign citizens increased by 12% and amounted to 164 cases. In total, 16,260 foreign citizens and stateless persons were registered in Krasnodar last year.
