President Vladimir Putin announced that from April 1, a new payment to families with children will be introduced in RUSSIA.
“I think that we should make a new decision - to establish payments for children from eight to 16 years old inclusive, I emphasize, for all families with low incomes, to support them,” he said. The first payments will be received in May, their size has not yet been specified.
Putin recalled that the country already has monthly payments for pregnant women and low-income families with children under the age of seven, inclusive. In addition, single parents who are raising children between the ages of eight and 16 receive assistance.

Last spring, Putin proposed establishing monthly payments for children from three to seven years old for low-income families. These payments are assigned in the amount of 50, 75 and 100% of the regional subsistence minimum, taking into account the income and property of the applicants.
