The state company will build a biomedical technology center for 5 billion in Surgut

The Yugra Technical Development Fund and the state corporation Rostec are planning to sign an agreement on the construction and equipping of the Center for High Biomedical Technologies in the largest city of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug today.

The cost of creating the first object of the center - "Unity Park" is 4.8 billion rubles, it will be located on an area of ​​5.7 thousand square meters. The center will include laboratories for molecular genetic research methods, cellular, microfluidic technologies, bioinformatics, as well as a biobank.

“Unique in terms of research activities and the composition of laboratories, it is focused on molecular genetic research, on the development and implementation of technologies in this area. Therefore, it is important to implement such a science-intensive and high-tech project in a team with experienced and strong partners,” Surgut Tribune quotes Ilya Kandakov, General DIRECTOR of the Yugra Scientific and Technological Development Fund.

The project implementation period will be no more than three years, at least 90 places for highly qualified personnel will be created in the center.
