Which vaccines are trusted in the EU

The majority of respondents from 12 EU countries do not have confidence in covid-19 vaccines developed in Russia. This is evidenced by the results of a study (available to RBC), published by the European Council on Foreign Affairs (ECFR). According to ECFR data, 7% of respondents fully trust Russian vaccines, while another 26% said they trust them to some extent. At the same time, the shares of respondents who do not trust Russian vaccines very much or do not trust them at all amounted to 30 and 25%, respectively. The rest of the respondents found it difficult to choose.

The survey was commissioned by ECFR in March-April by Datapraxis, YouGov, Dynata, AnalitiQs and Alpha in 12 EU countries. The sample was 17.2 thousand people.

Europeans have the greatest confidence in vaccines produced in the EU itself. They are fully trusted by 19%, trusted to some extent by 43%. The cumulative share of those who do not fully trust vaccines developed in the EU or do not completely trust them was 28%. 54% trust American vaccines completely or to some extent, 34% do not trust them. As for the Chinese vaccine, 24% of the respondents fully or generally trust it, while 63% do not trust it.
