Hare: production in the public sector of agriculture should be increased by at least 5%

February 24, MINSK. In the public sector of agriculture, it is necessary to increase production by at least 5%. Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Zayats told journalists during the final collegium of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, BelTA has learned.

"In the public sector of agriculture, it is necessary to increase production by at least 5%. At the same time, the volume of livestock production should increase by 4.2%, crop production - by 8.3%. Basically, the emphasis is on MILK, the gross milk yield of which should be increased by 320 thousand tons. It is necessary to increase the production of beef, pork and poultry by 83 thousand tons. This will allow us to load our enterprises with processing and ensure the output of marketable products," said Leonid Zayats.

Speaking about the specific results of the processing industry, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed that in 2022, 129 thousand tons of butter were produced, which is 9 thousand tons more than in 2021. This year it is planned to reach the production of 133 thousand tons of oil.

"Also, last year we produced 278,000 tons of cheese, which is 13,000 more than in 2021. This year, the task is to produce 300,000 tons of this product," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
