November 19, MINSK . Three districts of the Brest region lead the ranking in the country in terms of cattle numbers: Pinsky (100.2 thousand heads), Pruzhansky (99.9 thousand heads) and Stolinsky (88.8 thousand heads). BELTA was informed about this by the Brest Regional Executive Committee.

“For January-October 2023, the growth rate in all categories of farms amounted to 104.7% (across the republic - 101.2%), including in agricultural organizations - 107.7% (across the republic - 102.4%)," - told the regional executive committee.

Farms in the first region of the republic grew in both crop production (+8.2%) and livestock production (+7.3%). Thus, in terms of the growth rate of MILK production, the increase was 8.8%, in terms of milk yield per cow - 6065 kg, in terms of marketability of milk - 91.7%, in terms of its quality - 79.6% - "extra" variety, in terms of average daily weight gain of pigs - 740

10 out of 16 districts of the Brest region are in the TOP 20 in the country (out of 118 districts) in terms of milk yield per cow. These are Brest, Ivanovo, Zhabinkovsky, Kamenets, Berezovsky, Maloritsky, Stolinsky, Pruzhansky, Drogichinsky and Kobrin districts.

The largest for 10 months of 2023 in terms of gross milk production in the country are four farms in the Brest region: OJSC Zhuravlinoe in the Pruzhany district (45.8 thousand tons), OJSC Ruzhany-Agro in the Pruzhany region (44.9 thousand tons), OJSC "Parokhonskoe" of the Pinsk region (44.2 thousand tons) and OJSC "Belovezhsky" of the Kamenets region (40.1 thousand tons).
