Moscow region exported breeding calves to Kazakhstan for the first time - Sergey Voskresensky

For the first time, an agricultural enterprise located near Moscow exported to Kazakhstan over 130 heads of breeding young cattle, the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food reports.

“The Moscow Region is developing the EXPORT of breeding young dairy cattle. The Zelenogradskoye breeding plant in the Pushkinsky city district sold 130 heifers for export to Kazakhstan,” said Sergey Voskresensky, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region.

JSC "Zelenogradskoye" is a breeding plant for breeding Holstein cattle. Its main activity is dairy farming. This is a full-fledged closed-loop livestock farm that also processes MILK.

The milk processing cycle starts from in-house production of containers to ready-to-ship products. The farm produces milk , kefir, curdled milk, fermented baked milk, yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese, soft cheese and butter. About 10 robotic milking systems are installed at the complex.

According to the minister, dairy cattle were sold for export for the first time.

“Previously, only beef cattle was exported. All sold Holstein heifers,” said Voskresensky, adding that Zelenogradskoye is constantly increasing the number of cows.

Today, the total number of herds is about 3 thousand heads. In 2021, the agricultural enterprise became the winner in the contests "Best Product" and "Best Enterprise of the Year" at the 28th Prodexpo International Food Exhibition.
