U.S. pork export sales down, beef exports up

On Thursday, the USDA said US net pork EXPORT sales of 13,600 tons in 2022 were down 37 percent from the previous week and 43 percent from the previous 4-week average.

An increase was noted in deliveries to Mexico (7,100 tons), Japan (2,600 tons), SOUTH KOREA (900 tons), Colombia (700 tons) and CANADA (600 tons). Pork deliveries declined for destinations such as Honduras (200 tons), Guatemala (100 tons) and Indonesia (100 tons). 

Beef export sales last week reached 18,900 tons, up 29 percent from the previous week and unchanged from the previous 4-week average. The increase was noted mainly for CHINA (7400t), Japan (5300t), South Korea (1900t), Mexico (1300t) and Indonesia (900t). Reduced purchases of American Chile beef (100 tons).
