In Yamal, the venison harvesting campaign has reached its peak. By the end of the year, it is planned to receive 2230 tons of MEAT.

The Payuta meat processing complex in the Priuralsky district of the YaNAO, where the campaign started back in September, produced more than 175 tons of products out of 300 planned. Traditionally, this municipal enterprise is the first to start slaughtering and harvesting.

At two production sites of SE "Yamal deer", in the village of Yar-Sale and at the trading post "Yuribey" of the Yamal region, where the campaign was announced from the beginning of November. This year they have committed to bringing the total venison production to 800 tons.

Next week, the Tazovskie deer LLC and the Tazovsky agricultural production cooperative in the YNAO region of the same name will join the campaign. Procurement complexes of three more districts - Purovsky, Shuryshkarsky and Nadymsky - will start work after November 25, when a strong ice cover is established on local reservoirs.

All 15 slaughter and refrigerating complexes of the YaNAO accept only identified animals with documentary evidence of all necessary veterinary procedures. The production process guarantees the production of high-quality and safe reindeer meat.

Andrey Revnivykh, Deputy HEAD of the Department for the Development of Agriculture and the Fishery Complex of the Department of Agroindustrial Complex of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, noted that for the second year on the peninsula state support has been provided to reindeer herders. Farms of all forms of ownership involved in the slaughtering campaign will be paid 450 rubles per kilogram of meat suitable for sale.

Approximately 10% of venison will be sent outside the Autonomous Okrug, and 90% will go on sale in the region, because the priority task is to saturate the domestic market.
