Dairy production is growing in the Lipetsk region

Over the nine months of this year, butter and fermented MILK products showed good growth . In the Lipetsk region, 30 medium and large enterprises in the food and processing industry produce both milk
itself and its processed products: butter, cheeses , fermented milk products and dry formulas for young children. Over the first 9 months of this year, 13% more fermented milk products were produced than on the same date a year earlier. Butter production increased by 22% during this period. This trend will continue: by the end of next year in the Lebedyansky district, one of the largest enterprises in the region will increase milk processing capacity from 700 tons to 1 thousand tons per day, which will allow the production of even more dairy products. As for cheese production, this area is very popular among farmers. There are small cheese factories in many areas of the region. There are no major players in the cheese market among medium and large dairy enterprises yet, but at the end of next year a plant will appear in the Lipetsk region that will produce up to 22 tons of hard cheeses per day.
