Chechen fighters involved in a special operation in Ukraine took control of the Left Bank district of Mariupol, located in the eastern part of the city, said the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in his TELEGRAM channel.
“Our fighters cleared the entire Livoberezhny district of Mariupol from gangs, located in the eastern part of the city and separated from the rest by the Azovstal industrial zone. Soldiers hoisted a flag over the last building of the District Prosecutor’s Office of the Levoberezhny District, which was vacated here,” he wrote.

According to him, in this way the Chechen units "completely cleared out" residential areas in the eastern part of the city, where more than 100,000 people live. “The last unfinished remnants of the bandit group, previously operating in the Left Bank region, suffered losses and fled to the west,” Kadyrov added.
