November 13, Grodno. Three large tents have been set up in a refugee camp on the Belarusian-Polish border for heating and feeding children and women, as well as for legal assistance, BelTA has learned.
In the refugee camp, the streamlining of relief work continues. Firewood, water, humanitarian aid - food and warm clothes are regularly delivered. However, refugees continue to experience inconvenience, primarily due to cold weather.
To create comfortable conditions, especially for children and women, three large military tents were delivered to the camp today. In one of them, heated by a heat gun, there was a food point for children. The first of them have already eaten there: on the tables there are food packages, selected especially for children. They contain MILK , fruits, mashed potatoes, pastries, confectionery, sweets, marshmallows and more.
A tent has been set up nearby, in which there will be an opportunity to warm up pregnant and lactating mothers, and there are many of them in the camp. Another tent will house a point of legal assistance for those refugees who express a desire to return to their homeland. and a generator. The tents are lit, and sockets work.
"The delivery of humanitarian aid to the refugee camp will continue. it is gratifying that no one was left behind. Everyone is worried about this situation. Humanitarian aid is sent by all regions of the country," said the chairman of the Standing Commission on Education, Science, Culture and social development of the Council of the Republic.
Now, according to various estimates, there are 2-3 thousand people in the camp. These are citizens of different countries. Most are Kurds from Iraq. There are many women and children in the camp.
