August 27, Grodno. Grain harvesting in the Grodno region is coming to an end, and at the same time, the traditional holidays of grain growers "Dazhynki" have started in the region. They were first noted in the Volkovysk and Dyatlovsky regions, BelTA learned from the regional executive committees.

In the Volkovysk region, the festival of village workers came with good results. The threshing amounted to 113.3 thousand tons. The most significant contribution to the overall result was made by KSUP "Plemzavod" Ross ", the branch" Agrocomplex "Shilovichi" and KSUP "Neverovichi".

The festive atmosphere was created by thematic courtyards, concert venues, abundant shopping arcades, rich exhibitions of agricultural products, folk art products, and interactive creative platforms. On the main stage, local artists recreated folk rituals associated with the completion of the harvest. Mikhail Sitko, chairman of the Volkovysk regional executive committee, thanked all the harvest workers for their good results.

In Dyatlovo, a traditional procession of labor collectives of agricultural and processing enterprises passed along the main street of the city. Each of them presented their "padvorak" at the festival, where they demonstrated local ritual holidays: "Yur'ya", "Bagach", "Pakrouski kirmash", holidays of MILK, flax, apples. Their creative performances were evaluated by a competitive jury headed by Andrey Sadovsky, the chairman of the district executive committee.

Collectives and workers who successfully completed the harvest were awarded well-deserved awards. In general, 53.6 thousand tons of grain were collected in the region.

"Dazhynki" are also actively held in agricultural enterprises that have completed the harvest. The regional festival-fair of village workers of the region will be held on September 23 in Zelva.
