The work schedule of the President of Belarus is always very eventful. Alexander Lukashenko holds conferences and working meetings on the most pressing issues of the country's development, regularly visits the regions, makes foreign visits and receives foreign guests himself, communicates with journalists, signs decrees and laws. And even when there are no public events, this does not mean at all that the HEAD of state is not working. However, during the rest, whether it's hockey training or chopping wood, Alexander Lukashenko no, no, yes, and he will find a reason for the next assignment. As he likes to say, in everything one must proceed from life.

The "President's Week" project is for those who want to keep up with the head of state, to be aware of the most relevant statements and decisions of the Belarusian leader.

How Lukashenka assessed the final match of the Belarusian ice hockey championship and how he encouraged the losers of Grodno; what I saw from the helicopter and what are the shortcomings in the region, which in many respects the whole country needs to be equal to; why does the President need experimental fields and how did the next inspection "without ties" end.

And also about the Chernobyl trip, traditional for the end of April, which this time took place in a new format. About war and peace, strengthening personnel and performance discipline, a systematic approach to everything, the inadmissibility of burying money in the ground, tasks throughout the country and much more in the new issue of the BelTA special project "President's Week".

EVERYTHING will be hockey! How Lukashenka acted as a fan and sports motivator

On April 24, the President of Belarus visited the final decisive match of the Belarusian hockey extraleague of the 2022/23 season between Neman Grodno and Metallurg Zhlobin in Grodno.

In the final confrontation, the hockey players of both teams won three victories each, very worthy and sometimes even sensationally overcoming the tournament grid. The final match of the season was hosted by the Grodno Ice Palace of Sports. This in itself has become a gift for the regional center, because at first it was planned that the match would be held in MINSK. And the people of Grodno did not lose face - they came to support their team not only in the stands, but also in specially organized fan zones. Before the match and during breaks, numerous creative teams helped to create a festive mood for fans and just casual spectators.

Previously, teams from Grodno and Zhlobin met in the finals in 2012 and 2013. The first duel ended in favor of the Wolves (Metallurg), a year later the Red-Blacks (Neman) took revenge. This time, the team from Zhlobin turned out to be stronger, which, although not without adventures, reached the final in the status of last year's President's Cup holders. The result of the game is 1:0.

Alexander Lukashenko watched the ice battles from the podium. His arrival was not announced in advance, and the announcement of his presence at the beginning of the match. But at the same time, it is also an additional incentive for the teams, given the personal involvement of the head of state in the development of this sport.

It is difficult to say which of the two teams the President supported more. Most likely, just for beautiful hockey. And the game of rivals as a whole was equal. But it is interesting that Alexander Lukashenko took his four-legged friend Umka to the match. A cute fluffy spitz, of course, is not a steel wolf depicted on the emblem of Metallurg, but still a relative of a forest animal. Who knows, maybe that's why luck in this game was more on the side of the team from Zhlobin. After all, the puck also visited the gates of the “wolves”, but after the video review, it was determined that this happened after the siren about the end of the period.

Match Impressions

At the end of the final match, Alexander Lukashenko noted that the hockey players from Metallurg Zhlobin and Neman Grodno gave the fans minutes, hours and days of great hockey. "A lot will be written and said about this series, about today's match. It was unexpected for me, incredible," the President said.

The head of state noted that two teams were fighting on the ice: the young, provocative, future-oriented team of Neman and the solid, adult team of Metallurg. “There were two equal, beautiful teams in this arena today. You don’t eat bread in vain. You worked it out today from the first to the last second, and I think no one will throw a stone at your garden,” the Belarusian leader stressed.

Presidential Hockey Team

During the awards ceremony on ice, in addition to the finalists, the team of the President of Belarus was also present. Alexander Lukashenko explained that an amateur hockey tournament had recently ended and his team decided to come to Grodno to support the extra league finalists. “These are guys who, just like you, fought, pulled out many games with their teeth, suffered, suffered. These are real hockey players. Their big hockey, they say, is over, they came to even bigger hockey - amateur. And they won the championship of Belarus this year and decided to come, after watching hockey, to congratulate you on this great performance," the head of state explained. "Citizens of Grodno, thank you very much!"

High culture of sickness

The President especially noted the culture of cheering at the ice arena, demonstrated by the residents of Grodno. "You, Grodno residents, surprised me today. I thought you were so aggressive, very angry, incomprehensibly minded. But I saw correct representatives of the western region, who let Gomel and Zhlobin residents shout, and shouted properly themselves. Well done!" - said the head of state.

The President expressed special gratitude to the leaders of the regions. Governors always help hockey players and contribute to the development of this sport. "I'm very happy about the return of Grodno players to big hockey. And I'm also glad that Metallurg has confirmed its hardening. Thank you so much!" - thanked Alexander Lukashenko.

Champions Cup

"Thank you guys. And now to our ceremony. For many of you, your whole life is ahead, but you will remember these moments for the rest of your life. And not only you: your relatives, friends and, most importantly, your children - you will have them learn life, and not only play hockey,” Alexander Lukashenko added.

The President personally congratulated Metallurg's players on their victory and presented the team with the won cup.

Consolation for Grodno residents

Alexander Lukashenko cheered up the fans and players of the Neman: “You guys have hung up some of your nose in vain. This is a good team, and if you keep it, these guys have a great future, they will bring a lot of happiness. games from the first to the last minute, we fulfilled, as I understand it, the task of our coaches, we played clearly, on the spot. But one second, or maybe a fraction of a second, was not enough for this wonderful performance to be continued. But sport is sport, there is nowhere to go from here get away."

This was also discussed during Lukashenka's conversation with Grodno youth, which took place already late in the evening. As it turned out, the head of state came to the regional center not only for the sake of hockey. The plan also included a meeting on the development of the Grodno region, which took place in the evening in the regional executive committee. It is located in the center just next to the pedestrian street, which is very popular among locals.

Leaving the building, the President greeted a group of young people on the street. "Well, girls, to the disco? - He asked in a playful tone. - Are you inviting?"

Young people in response joyfully greeted the head of state. At the same time, they, as fans, were a little saddened by the defeat of their team.

"Are you upset that the team lost?" - Alexander Lukashenko asked the young people.

"Very!" - followed the answer.

At the same time, one of the girls expressed the opinion that the Grodno team showed a very good result. "No one expected Neman to be in the final. This is a very good result," the fan believes.

“You see. A team is not made in one year. They picked up this team literally a year ago. This is the future, this is only one youth. in the team final.

Alexander Lukashenko is confident that the Grodno Neman has great potential. “Good guys. You will win next year, if, of course, you work like this at least,” he said.

In general, the President emphasized that both teams played with dignity: "The guys played very well. I don't even remember such a final. There was no special rudeness. They played well. Well done!"

"Therefore, do not be upset, everything will be fine. Everything is generally fine with you," he reassured.

At the request of local residents, Alexander Lukashenko took several photos with them as a keepsake. "Good luck! Thank you guys! Good luck, live peacefully. Goodbye!" - said the head of state in parting.

ALIGNMENT TO GRODNO. Why Lukashenka praised the region and what weaknesses he pointed out

“The holiday is over. Except for the holidays, we have the same routine as always,” said Alexander Lukashenko, arriving at the meeting after the hockey game. Prior to that, in the afternoon the head of state flew over the Grodno and Brest regions. From the helicopter, the Belarusian leader got acquainted in detail with the work on the ground.

"Let's face it, the region is developing with dignity. In some areas it is better than others. In many areas it sets the pace for development in our country. Most of all, the successes of rural workers are pleasing. Over the past years, you have been among the leaders in the country. However, as they report to me (State Control Committee who was instructed to study the situation), you also have weaknesses," the President said.

About agriculture

Speaking about the shortcomings, Alexander Lukashenko drew attention to the livestock sector in the region. To date, the instruction of the head of state on staffing dairy complexes for full load has not been fulfilled. “The question arises: men, why did we build them? Well, if the Grodno region cannot do this, then which region will we rely on…” the President drew attention.

On half of the built and reconstructed complexes, even the average regional level of livestock productivity is not provided. For example, in the Ostrovetsky district.

There are omissions in matters of herd reproduction. This is typical for Lida, Mostovsky, Ivye districts. "By the way, there is a corresponding decrease in the gross MILK production in 2022," Alexander Lukashenko said.

In the course of verification activities in 80% of the surveyed farms, violations of technological regulations for keeping and feeding livestock were revealed. “And what is surprising about the governor’s DOCTOR is the veterinary and sanitary rules,” the head of state noted. “As a result, the loss of livestock remains high. And this is already unacceptable. In 2022 alone, it amounted to 15 thousand heads. allowed in almost every district of the region (in 16 out of 17).

There are also problems in the production of pork and poultry MEAT. "At a time when the demand for agricultural products is huge, the market is open," the Belarusian leader stressed.

The President drew attention to the fact that it is necessary to seriously address the situation at the Skidel poultry farm and the Smorgon bakery.

About stabilization funds

Alexander Lukashenko at the meeting reminded the head of the region Vladimir Karanik of the instruction regarding stabilization funds and providing the population with domestic vegetables and fruits.

“The governor and I have repeatedly discussed the situation with stabilization funds. By the way, it all started with your region, when I demanded in the most severe way that these stabilization funds be created and that trade choose those products. You assured me that everything was in order. In fact, controllers note problems here as well. I would like to know what they are. Especially with regard to the selection of potatoes, cabbage, beets. At the same time, your retail chains are inundated with Egyptian potatoes and Russian apples, the price of which is many times higher," the head of state said.

About the situation in the regional industry

Another topic is the work of the region's industrial sector. “Last year you significantly sank in woodworking, the textile industry, petrochemicals and a number of other industries. In general, this is unacceptable for the Grodno region. And in the first quarter of this year, you worked at the level of last year, which means that you have not yet compensated for the losses. We need to recover faster. As I said, run, run, run. The main thing now is acceleration," the Belarusian leader stressed.

He noted that it was impossible to focus only on Grodno Azot and the nuclear power plant. "I have repeatedly spoken about the need to implement at least one serious investment project in each district. When appointing the governor, the task was to take personal control over the implementation of one large-scale project that is significant for the region. And not on the basis of a republican enterprise. By the way, how are things going with you here "And in particular, at Grodno Azot, how is the situation with us?" the President asked. "And in general, how does the region work under these sanctions conditions? What has been done in terms of import substitution, in industrial cooperation with our eastern partners? Is delivery logistics built everywhere? components and goods?

About the repair of local roads

The problems associated with the repair and maintenance of local roads still remain relevant. “Although the governor reported along the way that a lot had been done. And how is it on the spot: the agro-town is the district center? How are these roads? I recently had the honor to drive along separate roads from the agro-towns to the district center. so at least the holes were dug. In general, the situation is not rosy. This worries the citizens," the head of state noted.

The task was set to rectify the situation as soon as possible. And this concerns not only and not so much the Grodno region, but the country as a whole. “Here it’s more or less in the Grodno region. But the situation in the country as a whole is not easy. Recently, the profile deputy prime minister was tasked with repairing all roads within this year, no matter what it costs us. And, believe me, it will cost more tomorrow. Oil today , petroleum products, the same bitumen for asphalt is cheaper than ever," the head of state said.

There are also complaints about the work of public transport, which surprised the President. "Amazing! Maybe they made a mistake reporting to me," he said.

Regional vertical report

In fact, the operational meeting in Grodno became a report of the governor and the regional vertical of power on the implementation of socio-economic indicators.

"As you can see, there are a lot of questions. And all of them, first of all, are within the competence of the local authorities of the district and regional level. Keep in mind that we have analyzed the statements and complaints of our people from the Grodno region to the Presidential Administration and addressed to the President. Therefore, I asked, so that at this operational meeting, together with the governor, his specialized deputies, as well as the vice-premiers present, if necessary, report," the President said.

He asked to report first of all on problematic issues, as well as some interesting topics in the context of the whole country, given that the Grodno region, both before and now, has experience that can be adopted in other regions.

Alexander Lukashenko at some points expressed criticism of the Minsk region against the backdrop of the situation in the Grodno region. "The sowing campaign has begun. I drove all over your east, center, looked west. I must say, Leonid Konstantinovich (Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Zayats in charge of agriculture), disgusting work in the Minsk region. I'm afraid that they won't fail there this gigantic area," the head of state said.

He explained that on the border of Minsk and Grodno regions, there is a significant difference in the level of farming on the land. While farms in the Grodno region are in almost perfect order, their neighbors in the Minsk region cannot boast of the same condition. “You see how Karanik (Chairman of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee Vladimir Karanik) did it on purpose. I was flying in a helicopter and I say: well, I did it on purpose,” the President noted. - Approx. BELTA) - as if from unprofitable dense collective farms.

“I don’t understand. You must have calmed down, you just don’t hear me. I told you: it’s better to fight in the field than there (we are talking about the threat of a real hot war if the country’s sustainable socio-economic development is not ensured. - Approx. BELTA)," the Belarusian leader emphasized.

FROM WEST TO EAST. What Lukashenka studied in his experimental fields

The end of April - the beginning of May is the active phase of the sowing season, the height of spring field work. Alexander Lukashenko, who always keeps the situation in the agricultural sector under personal control, traditionally spends part of his working time in the fields. He visits the regions, listens to the reports of officials and heads of farms, and gives the necessary instructions.

But the President of Belarus also has a special form of work - he personally conducts experiments to keep abreast of the latest trends, try out technologies and new types of crops. Then the best and most successful of the developments are being introduced into life in large numbers.

On April 27, in his small Motherland, near the agro-town of Alexandria, the head of state inspected oat and pea crops in the fields of the Vitebsk region, as well as the presidential experimental field in the Mogilev region. "Inspection without ties, reports and reports," as noted by the authors of the TELEGRAM channel.

Barley was sown on the experimental field last season. The President instructed to change the structure of crops with an emphasis on winter barley. The crop is harvested from the fields earlier than the rest of the grain wedge. It also differs in its productivity.

The head of state then assessed the results of last year’s experience very positively: “This year has shown that winter barley is a miracle. that winter barley be."

This year the experiment continues with other crops. On the presidential fields - lupins and peas. True, Alexander Lukashenko was not satisfied with what he saw everywhere.

COUNTRY ACTION PROGRAM. What is special about the new format of Lukashenka's Chernobyl trip

On April 28, the President visited the Vetka district of the Gomel region, one of the most affected regions as a result of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, on a working trip.

Chernobyl trips by the head of state, timed to coincide with the anniversary of the disaster, are already a long-standing tradition. Most often, the President visits the Gomel region, which in April 1986 was almost completely exposed to radiation contamination. While in past years some opponents of Alexander Lukashenko tried to earn political dividends on the clean streets and squares of Minsk on these memorable days, the President spent days, and sometimes even weeks, in the most polluted areas. I talked with ordinary people, scientists, farmers... I tried to figure out how best to deal with these vast territories, which, to one degree or another, were exposed to radiation.

At first, there was little information, because the experience of Belarus in overcoming the consequences of Chernobyl is very unique. And even worse, in the first years after the catastrophe, ignorance was replaced by fear and often obvious conjectures in the public consciousness. Therefore, the real revival of the affected territories required not only a competent approach and financial injections, but also accurate educational work with people. If not for these efforts and Alexander Lukashenko's personal attention to the problem, then many now populated corners of modern Belarus might have looked more like the Ukrainian ghost town of Pripyat.

Long-term investments paid off, and now Alexander Lukashenko in these April days can already afford not to deal locally with the issues of individual affected areas. The subject of his attention is the work of the entire region. And on its example - the setting of tasks for the whole country.

FROM WHINING TO POSITIVE. Why Gomel region is like home for Lukashenka

In the city of Vetka, the head of state held a meeting with the activists of the entire Gomel region. "You know, this region is not alien to me. This region is actually like my own. I have always emphasized at any forums, conferences, referendums, elections: the Gomel region has always supported me more than any other region. There are hardworking, wise, hardened and people who love this land infinitely,” the Belarusian leader said at the beginning of the event, “But because of our lack of control, whining “oh, Chernobyl victims, oh, Chernobyl victims,” we relaxed and did not notice how we began to lose this region. And among this huge number businessmen, swindlers and thieves have appeared industrious, wise people. Let there be few of them, but this process must be stopped. Therefore, a new governor and a new presidential envoy for this region were sent here."

The President, visiting the affected regions, has always stressed that the state will do everything possible for this region to live and develop. People believed and remained in their small homeland. “I convinced you for a long time that we will live normally here, no worse than in other regions of our republic. Based on the results of more than 30 years that have already passed, we are convinced of this, because we already have statistics. I feel sincere joy when I see positive changes," the Belarusian leader said.

He drew attention to the fact that the state has done a lot for the Gomel region during the years of independence. “Today I saw joyful faces in Vetka, and what’s special is that if there are any minor questions, then women quickly push this person aside:“ Yes, these are not questions of the President, but this is not the main thing. ”The main thing is that there is peace, so that not people flew here (as they say in Donbass) so that people could live on a peaceful land. People have finally made a normal life, calm, peaceful, and the life of their children a priority. Today I see this as a priority in the Gomel region, and throughout the republic, - "I always say: it's better to fight in the field than there. You know this better than I do. You have become a front-line region."

More than Br600 million was invested in the affected regions last year alone, and in general - billions. With this money, tens of thousands of apartments, more than a hundred schools and kindergartens, thousands of kilometers of roads have been built, more than a hundred settlements have been gasified. Many different healthcare institutions have appeared, including the unique Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Radiation Medicine and Human Ecology, almost the only one in the world. “We built it when it was simply abandoned and the empty windows, like loopholes, spoke of mismanagement,” Alexander Lukashenko added.

“If in the first decade after the accident we literally fought for survival, then in recent years we are talking about development. Involvement in agricultural land turnover, construction of dairy and fattening complexes, creation of efficient industrial enterprises. there is not a single city in your country, more or less large, where I have not visited and planned the construction of woodworking, processing, cellulose, oil refineries,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

He drew attention to the fact that a lot has been done in the Gomel region and in industrial terms it is one of the most developed regions. "We need to look today, and even better - create drivers for the region's economic growth in the near future," the President stressed.

Therefore, the head of state explained, this time it was decided to move away from the practice of the traditional Chernobyl visit and hold a working meeting on the situation in the region as a whole.

URGENT QUESTIONS. Where the President requires discipline and a systematic approach

The President began his working trip with practical issues: the operation of dairy complexes, melioration, the course of the sowing campaign, problems in animal husbandry, the safety and restoration of equipment. Demand from those responsible is tough. On the one hand, it is important not only to master the funds invested in all areas, but also to justify them in subsequent years. In other words, don't bury money in the ground during land reclamation or into walls when building new farms. In both cases, return is needed in the form of milk, meat, crop products.

On the other hand, it is clear that what was shown to Alexander Lukashenko in the margins is a kind of model not only for the Gomel region, but also for the country as a whole. In this case, corn sowing or land reclamation work should be of the same quality everywhere, but ... (and here the President repeatedly drew attention) there is not enough discipline.

About the staffing of the MTK

“If we don’t put cattle in technological premises – dairy complexes, where the cow will be milked not by hand, not in a milk pipeline, but in a milking parlour, we won’t put it, there will be no milk and no quality,” the Belarusian leader noted.

Alexander Lukashenko stressed that all new and modernized MTCs must be fully equipped with livestock, otherwise the invested funds will not pay off. "Blame yourself if you don't fill up the new and reconstructed complexes," he warned. This task concerns not only the Gomel region, but the country as a whole. In varying degrees, it is relevant for different regions.

At the same time, the head of state drew attention, it is also important what kind of cattle the complexes will be equipped with, how maintenance and care will be organized. Here, one of the main indicators of work is milk yield, which at new complexes cannot be lower than even the average republican and regional levels. “Why did they build it? The new complexes need twice as much,” Alexander Lukashenko stressed.

About melioration

The President demands to speed up the pace of land reclamation: "It is going very slowly. We need to speed up. Today this penny (funds for land reclamation - approx. BelTA) was snatched out with three fingers, and tomorrow it may not be. And under the responsibility of leaders. We must answer, monitor channels, dams , to regulate the water regime. Under the signature of each leader: here are your fields - answer."

He stressed that it is necessary to work instantly, especially in a number of places that are important to save in the first place. "I'm not talking about restoration, not about land reclamation, but about saving some areas. The most difficult impression is from the neglect of fields and the lack of farming culture. The worst thing is," the President noted.

Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that the money now invested in land reclamation should be spent efficiently, and the state of these territories should be monitored in the future. “So that we, having invested money... And then our children do not start this work again. There must be iron discipline. It is necessary to support. These are golden lands,” the head of state said. and some other issues to resolve... So take care of it. This is how it is done in the best farms. And why is it not in the east of the country, in the center - in the Minsk region?" - Alyaksandr Lukashenka posed the question.

On the preservation and restoration of equipment

The head of state got acquainted with the system for the repair and restoration of old equipment created in the region. "The system is set up correctly, this is the way to go," he said.

For journalists and the public, Alexander Lukashenko explained that they were talking about equipment that had served on farms for 5-7 years and that was "thrown under the fence." "We made a decision to get, restore and give new life to this equipment from under the fence," he said.

"Gorgeous!" - said the President, evaluating the presented samples of restored equipment. By the way, it costs several times cheaper than buying new equipment and units. A list of points has been defined in the region where the repair of complex, less complex and simple machinery and equipment is organized. This information has been communicated to all farm managers.

The head of state drew attention to the fact that this instruction should not have come from him, but first of all, on the ground, the equipment should be handled with care and in a businesslike manner. "We treat laxly, we do not protect it. And this is money!" he remarked.

The Gomselmash combine should work for at least 15 years, the President stressed. The same applies to tractor equipment. Alexander Lukashenko recalled how he once talked with an American farmer who had been operating a Belarusian tractor for more than 30 years and that it was in good working order and in full working order.

IRON DICTATORY. How Lukashenka instructed to strengthen personnel work

Cadres decide everything. The President understands this indisputable truth very well, and therefore several times during his working trip he returns to this topic - both during a visit to farmland and at a meeting with the region's activists.

"An iron dictatorship is coming! We've been sitting too long in Minsk. We're holding in Grodno - a complete separation of the government from the governors," the head of state said.

The President emphasized the importance of personnel discipline. Here it is necessary not only to demand, but also to develop the necessary regulatory legal framework. Mismanagement and laxity must not go unpunished.

“Such a system should be worked out if we don’t want to fight the way they fight in the south. We need normative legal acts. For this to be in the law. If you break the law, go,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

At a meeting with the regional activists, the President gave an example that he has a personnel register and he coordinates the appointment of a number of leaders, including chairmen of district executive committees. And without his knowledge, they cannot be dismissed from their posts. The same thing - a certain list of personnel - should be at the level of the region, district and further vertically up to the machine operator.

The head of state stressed that among the reasons for certain shortcomings, there are those that depend on the people themselves. “This is what we call “razbashchannastsyu”, in the Belarusian language. Sloppiness, crime, theft. All this is in a heap. And no one seems to be responsible. ", he remarked.

Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting with the activists of the Gomel region that earlier the Presidential Administration, which is just authorized to deal with personnel issues, was instructed to create the legislative foundations of the corresponding system on the basis of the voiced idea. "I will check whether this is true or not. And report back to me in the near future. And there will be demand from the government and governors of reinforced concrete. I will not repeat 10 times. We have already lived up to this: President, develop an idea, sleep with it, roughly speaking , bring it to everyone, and then go and do it yourself, and we will watch from the outside. Guys, this time is over. You understand, finally, if we don’t do it now, our children won’t do it. They are different," the Belarusian leader emphasized .

Alexander Lukashenko urged young people not to be offended by his words, including those who were in the hall at the meeting. However, he stated that among young people there are, for example, those who "think that apples and pears grow on the Internet." “They sit and poke at this phone - tomorrow everything will fall from the sky. We spoiled them to the extreme. Oh, our youth is good, good! Yes, good. But they don’t want to work and don’t know how. They won’t do it, they won’t keep the country ", he stressed.

"Thousands of questions. And everywhere we need to develop a system. Especially with personnel. I spoke ten times," the head of state added. "Cadres decide everything. The leader must have power, iron. should not interfere with the leader to manage his territory, enterprise and take measures. Measures must be military, the most stringent. Do not wait for separate instructions. And the basis of everything is discipline. If there is no reinforced concrete discipline, all this is empty. We will spend money and we will be on our own eat yourself, grind: I will crumble you, the governor will - his subordinates. Therefore, a certain discipline must be established," the head of state demanded.

"There should be no deaths, no theft. Here there will be demand from law enforcement officers, especially from the police," the President warned.

INTERIM (NOT) SCORE. What problems did the President point out to the Gomel vertical

“As I was convinced once again, we know how to do everything right. The question is: why don’t we do it the right way? Or, more precisely, why don’t we always do the right thing?” the Belarusian leader asked at the meeting. I wish that after a certain time we would meet and shrug. So we didn’t do it and we start looking, as usual, for the reason. To prevent this from happening at the end of this year (you don’t have any other time, and neither do I), we met today. To talk in between about why we don't do the right thing and the way you know how to do it."

According to the information of the President, the results of the first quarter for the region are far from what was expected. In terms of economic development, the region ranks fourth among all regions. Although the industry, the head of state noted, worked well: an increase of 4.5%, but in general, the indicators in the republic increased by about 2%. But this is largely the contribution of organizations of the republican form of ownership (their share is about 80%). “And what is in your area of responsibility? In agriculture, the rate does not reach 100% and the last place in the country,” Alexander Lukashenko noted.

Recall that in November last year, a rather substantive and even tough meeting was held in Gomel on the development strategy of the region's agro-industrial complex. Accents have been placed, approaches have been coordinated, assurances from leaders have been received. The head of state asked what has been done so far and what are the issues hindering the implementation of those agreements.

Alexander Lukashenko in his speech drew attention to the issues of amalgamation of farms and the real effectiveness of this work, the facts of mismanagement, loss of livestock. The President reminded about the need to develop the Polessky Radiation and Ecological Reserve and the Pripyat Park.

At meetings on the economy, the task is constantly set to reduce the dependence of the indicators of regions on the work of industrial giants of republican significance, such as the Mozyr Oil Refinery, Zhlobin BMZ, Svetlogorsk CCC and Dobrush Paper Mill. "And how is my instruction "one district - one new project" carried out, where the initiative of the local vertical should be visible? Are you not replacing concepts?" - Alyaksandr Lukashenka outlined the question. First of all, we are talking about innovative high-tech industries.

“No one will convince me otherwise: the development of a district, economy or enterprise depends primarily on the promptness of the leader and the decisions made on the ground. Then you can immediately see where the smart leaders are. There are no problems there, and everything works like clockwork,” the Belarusian leader said. conditions, this is especially important, because you are a border region, as I said, a front-line zone. I want to emphasize: we are peaceful people and we do not need foreign land."

The President recalled that it was from the Gomel region, from the city of Komarin, on September 23, 1943, that the liberation of Belarus from fascist evil spirits began. "And it is here, in Komarin, that in September we should give a good start to the anniversary events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the republic, which we will widely celebrate in 2024," the head of state said.

At the meeting, Alexander Lukashenko focused on such problematic aspects as the condition of roads and bridges, the operation of public transport, and the consequences of a strong flood.

Governor of the Gomel region Ivan Krupko reported on the development of the region. Yury Nazarov, authorized head of state in the region, Presidential Affairs Manager, Inna Medvedeva, Chairman of the National Statistical Committee, Sergei Bartosh, Presidential Aide - Inspector for the Gomel Region, and Vasily Gerasimov, Chairman of the State Control Committee, gave their assessment of the state of affairs.

ECONOMY = WORLD. Why economic development may be more important than military power

Alexander Lukashenko stressed that ensuring peace and security is the business of the President and the security bloc. "Your task is to create worthy conditions for people's lives. Your task is the economy. Give us the economy," the President addressed the meeting participants. "And here you are underworking."

The President emphasized that most issues should be resolved on the ground and without social explosions: "You are managers. People in a critical situation expect quick, reasonable and understandable actions from you and, most importantly, reliable information."

“The main thing in our meeting is not to think of looking for objective reasons.

The President recalled how the problems in Ukraine started: “You remember, before the war, Ukraine did not exist. If it were for us, we would have developed better than the Emirates, but it all started with this: controllability is lost, the market will regulate everything, headless leaders... And off we go, corruption, bribes at all levels, division of property, everything was cut up, distributed. There is no country. This is where it all started. This is the main reason."

"And in order to find the culprits, they began: the Russian language, the Russian-speaking population, to crush, poison. Like we had during Shushkevich, Poznyak. Nationalism in our country also began to overwhelm the country. you, rubbing your hands. And so on and so forth. That's how it started," the Belarusian leader stressed.

Therefore, it is extremely important to ensure a strong economy. In this case, you can not worry too much about military security, the President is sure. "That's why I always say: give me the economy, give me the socio-economic status, and I won't ask you for defense. This is especially important for you. You can see what's happening. A lot of people have come to you, there are a lot of relatives," - said Alexander Lukashenko.

“Therefore, the economy, the power, the unity of people - they will not allow a war to be unleashed. That is why I demand so cruelly from you. Because I would rather demand from you now than tomorrow I will give a rifle and send it to the front,” the head of state added.

FORGET SANCTIONS. How Western Pressure Became a Time of Opportunity

The President positively noted the fact that in their speeches at the meeting, neither the governor of the Gomel region nor the commissioner for the region spoke about sanctions at all. “And in Grodno they started talking to me about sanctions. Yes, you should be glad that these sanctions were introduced. Especially farmers. Our country receives a lot from the agricultural sector. Bring it in, sell it,” said Alexander Lukashenko . to compete, not everything is easy. Well, you yourself have to move somewhere. You have contact with the Smolensk, Pskov, Bryansk regions. And further, too - Belgorod, Kursk. These are our people. Work through them, try to sell them. Nobody now does not interfere. We must negotiate."

“Work, work and forget about sanctions! Yes, sanctions are not easy, difficult. But not easy for Belaruskali, oil refineries. So, are you doing this? No. Specific people in the government are doing this,” the Belarusian leader noted .

Nevertheless, there are positive dynamics for these sanctioned goods. "And potash fertilizers have gone. Yes, the logistics have risen a little. But we are selling. Only give oil products now. And before they were afraid - there is nowhere to go. Well, why can't we sell? Tractors? The Russian market is free. Yes, the Chinese are running out, they want to sell. But for now we are competitive. We somehow found contacts with Rostselmash. We need to develop them. Work through Rostselmash," the President said.

And in general, Belarus, together with RUSSIA, is now actively developing cooperation. The Belarusian branch of microelectronics turned out to be in demand, as well as many other areas that have been preserved and have received additional development since Soviet times.

DOLLAR SCAM. Who benefits from the ideology of marketers

Alexander Lukashenko noted at the meeting that he was right when, contrary to the global trend, he did not follow purely market approaches in the development of the country. "There is no need for any control, pricing (free. - Approx. BelTA), let's go and go. We ate. It was I who always held you back. Contrary to the global trend, I tried to restrain you: calm down, leave the best of Soviet times that was. Although I don't delighted with the Soviet system," he said.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that all his life, being in various positions, he was engaged in the modernization of various systems. He used something, discarded something, even broke it, but created something new instead.

As for purely market principles, the President is sure that this idea was planted from outside. "Take Japan - 500 programs and plans are being created across the country. This is at least what we know. That is, they have complete planning in the country. And they tell us: Soviet planning is junk, the market will regulate everything," the head of state noted. "The Americans will regulate it. They have something to close the holes. Somewhere they failed - they printed it on a machine tool. They have an internal public debt of 27 trillion dollars. They stamp, print, inflation spreads all over the world. They live off this. Yes, they the market is profitable. Somewhere there is not enough - printed, given away. "

“At that time, from the moment I met Soros, I realized that it was impossible to do this. And if you do, then you need to do it quietly, calmly, for years, decades. did - a non-market economy. And a non-market economy in the country means external lending is expensive, something else. And they don’t want to talk to you. But I endured this, gritting my teeth," Alexander Lukashenko said.

FINAL blitz. What instructions did Lukashenka give at the end of the meeting

"There are a few issues that we need to decide. If the governor and the government do not talk about it, I will have to talk about it. Although this is the level of the regional executive committee and the chairman of the district executive committee," the President noted.

Alexander Lukashenko once again drew attention to the culture of agriculture, the elimination of existing problems. The task of literally these days is that while the weather is good, we must use every opportunity to lay a new crop. The sowing campaign is short, but the whole year depends on it. Of the current tasks, there is also the "repair" of fields with winter crops, preparation for the preparation of fodder, work with organic fertilizers in the fields.

The President again touched upon the topic of land reclamation. Money has been allocated for major work, but smaller ones, the so-called cultural technology, should be handled by the farms themselves: "We need to connect, save the land. Therefore, melioration is melioration, and where it is possible to work with an ax, a shovel, this is separate."

Alexander Lukashenko also reminded about the need to involve in the circulation of land on the site of old farms. And he instructed to take the staffing of new farms with livestock under separate control.

The head of state urged not to forget about the topic of household plots in rural areas, including in the so-called unpromising villages around agro-towns, where life in the countryside will be mainly concentrated. Alexander Lukashenko urged the Belarusians to take advantage of this opportunity: "You are in the center of Europe, at the crossroads of all roads. Take this site, but cultivate it. It is the wealth of a person to have half a hectare of land in the center of Europe."

A separate topic is the construction of greenhouses in order to provide people with domestic vegetables - cucumbers and tomatoes in the off-season. During this - next year this problem should be solved. But they should be built in those farms where they already know how to work with them or where there are opportunities for this.

"And here are the orchards. By storm it is necessary to uproot the junk and create new orchards. It's not the case that we import an APPLE. Can't we ourselves, as in Poland, produce this apple? We can. We just don't do it. And this is import substitution," the President remarked.

Alexander Lukashenko once again focused on the work with personnel, emphasizing the importance of iron discipline.

FRONT OF WORKS. What should everyone do to save the country

The head of state drew attention to the fact that citizens of neighboring countries visit Belarus with pleasure. "Now these bastards have closed the border. They have concreted it, they have mined it - no one can get through, no one can get through. But this is their problem. They don’t let people in here anymore. Poles, Lithuanians close checkpoints, create problems, first of all for their people, so that they don’t come to us Because, returning from us, they say: “Are you crazy, why don’t you live peacefully with the Belarusians?” That is, it is already developing into politics,” he stated.

"Therefore, let's get together. Let's do something wherever possible. I hope that by the end of the year we will have a normal conversation with you. I would very much like the Gomel region to be, as always, strong and courageous. Just get together," he summed up Belarusian leader.

BROKEN APPLAUSE. What Lukashenka talked about with residents in Vetka

The head of state also visited the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in the regional center and lit a candle. Near the temple, the President laid flowers at a memorial sign about the settlements that ceased to exist as a result of the Chernobyl tragedy. The head of state was presented with the icon "Mother of God of the victims of Chernobyl". The same icon is in the temple visited by Alexander Lukashenko.

Near the temple, as well as after the meeting in the district executive committee, the President spoke warmly with the local residents. One of the women addressed Alexander Lukashenko with the following words: “Many thanks on behalf of those with many children. I am a citizen of Ukraine, and you gave me citizenship of Belarus. I am very proud of this. And I live. I have four children. Thank you so much!”

"Well done, that four children!" - said the head of state.
