April 26, Gomel. Herd management and livestock selection systems will be installed at 28 dairy complexes in the Gomel region this year, BelTA reports with reference to Olga Voronovich, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Agriculture and Food of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee.
We are talking about an electronic assistant for specialists in the livestock industry. This system turns the farm into a full-fledged complex with computer technology. According to Olga Voronovich, this topic is relevant for the farms of the region, since at most facilities the term for the technological development of such equipment is approaching. “Working at such a complex is a dream of a livestock specialist, a veterinarian and other specialists. Work with such an electronic assistant is greatly facilitated. And in order for our livestock breeding to develop further and increase production volumes, it is necessary to intensify this work,” she explained. This year, such a project is being implemented in the region at 28 milking and dairy blocks. In 2022, computer assistants resumed work at 47 complexes. "This is a very important area, which greatly facilitates the work of people at the livestock facility and increases work efficiency. It allows you to identify animals in the hunt at an early stage, as well as their diseases in the early stages. Each animal has special collars that are equipped with a sensor that transmits information "The software analyzes the vital functions of animals, their activity throughout the day, including chewing processes - all this makes it possible to identify various kinds of deviations in the state of the animal. The system sends a signal to specialists that this animal needs to be given more attention, it is necessary to work with it separately" , - Olga Voronovich explained the algorithm.
Installations - development of specialists of the enterprise "Gomelagrokomplekt". These days, the complex at JSC "Khalch" in the Vetka district is flourishing before our eyes, where they have begun restoring a computer system for managing the herd and livestock selection.
There are no trifles in animal husbandry, Alexander Stribuk, General DIRECTOR of Gomelagrokomplekt Holding Managing Company OJSC, is sure. Therefore, the approach is comprehensive. complex.
The manager is convinced that such a system can become an alternative to the modernization of the MTF. “It is enough to assess the state of the farm in Khalcha already at this stage. At the end of last year, OJSC became part of our holding. And the initial task set by the regional authorities was to restore the efficient operation of this complex. Everything went in stages. We have equipped the farm with all the necessary equipment, such as a MILK taxi and a pasteurizer, but most importantly, we have restored the herd management system, which allows you to control everything and monitor the condition of the animals. and increase productivity. Many complexes can be repaired, restored,
According to the director general, now a little more than 5 tons of milk per day is received on the farm in Khalcha. "And we intend to increase this figure to 20 tons and more. Along with the fact that the milking machine is being restored, the farms are being completed with livestock. About 200 heads have already been delivered to reach the planned parameters. The complex is large - 1.2 thousand heads of the milking herd ", two milking parlors, a maternity ward. And all the information from seven sheds goes to one point - the operator's room, where the specialist also monitors all the signals. The complex is modern, it's nice to work here. Since the beginning of cooperation, 160 calves have already appeared here," he shares.
The committee of agriculture and food is sure that the system works and gives effect. So, in the Mozyr region, on average, about 25 liters of milk per day are received from one cow.
The project is implemented with the support of the regional authorities. Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Ivan Krupko personally supervises this direction. In addition, 11 dairy farms are being built in the region. The main construction sites in the field of agriculture are located in Buda-Koshelevsky, Braginsky, Vetkovsky, Dobrushsky, Zhlobinsky, Kalinkovichsky, Mozyrsky, Rogachev and Rechitsa districts.
